Pottur er við laugina, búningsklefar og sturtur. Margir rekstraraðilar hafa komið að rekstrinum (1) en síðustu 2 ár hefur hún verið lokuð (2).

Best Time to Visit
June–August for midnight sun, hiking and puffins. September–March for Northern Lights and ice caves. Shoulder seasons (May, September) offer fewer crowds and competitive prices.
Rent a Car
A rental car unlocks Iceland. The Ring Road (Route 1) circles the whole island in 7–10 days. For highland roads (F-roads), a 4x4 is required by law — standard cars are not insured on them.
Iceland is Cashless
Card payments are accepted everywhere — even at remote farms and petrol stations. You rarely need cash. Always check if there's a foreign transaction fee on your card.
Weather Changes Fast
"If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes." Dress in layers, always carry a waterproof jacket, and check vedur.is before heading out. Sunscreen is essential even on cloudy days.
Fill Up Your Tank
Petrol stations can be 100+ km apart in the Highlands and remote regions. Always fill up when you see a station. Most accept contactless card payments — no need for PIN.
Camping Rules
Wild camping outside of designated sites is prohibited. Fines apply. Icelandic campsites are well-equipped and affordable (€5–12/person). Most open May–September.
Sneaker Waves at Beaches
Iceland's black sand beaches are stunning but dangerous. Never turn your back on the ocean at Reynisfjara or similar beaches. Sneaker waves can sweep people away in seconds.
