Vetur (nóv–mar)
Baða sig undir norðurljósum eða fallandi snjó. Allir viðskiptalegir laugar opnir. Sumar slóðir að náttúrulegum pottar eru frosnar — athugaðu aðstæður. Töframestu tímabilið fyrir Bláa lónið og Sky Lagoon.
Vor (apr–maí)
Fjöldinn minnkar eftir háannir. Allir meginlaugar opnir. Hálendislaugar byrja að opna í maí. Fossar og grænar landslagsútlitir koma upp við náttúrulegir pottar.
Sumar (jún–ágú)
Baða sig í miðnætursól — einlæg íslensk upplifun. Allir náttúrulegir pottar og hálendislaugar aðgengilegar. Hámörkuður fjöldi við Bláa lónið — pantaðu mánuðum fyri. Bestur tími fyrir Reykjadalurgöngu.
Haust (sep–okt)
Færri ferðamenn og lægra verð. Norðurljós byrja að birtast í september. Hálendislaugar byrja að loka í október. Haustlitur skapar fallegar ramma utan um náttúrulegar uppsprettur.
Hvað á að pakka
Sundföt eru nauðsynleg. Taktu þitt eigið handklæði í náttúrulegar uppsprettur. Viðskiptalegar laugar leigja handklæði. Vatnsþéttar sandalar, þurr taska og hlýar lög eftir bað.
Siðareglur
Sturtu vandlega áður en þú ferð inn í hvaða laug eða sundlaug sem er — þetta er skylda á Íslandi. Fjarlægðu sundföt í sturtu ef mögulegt. Ekkert gler nálægt vatninu. Virtu þögulsvæði.
Vatnshiti
Náttúrulegir heitir pottar eru á bilinu volgt til sviðnandi (30–70°C). Prófaðu alltaf áður en þú ferð inn. Viðskiptalegir laugar eru haldnir við þægilegt 37–40°C allt árið.
Búningsklefar
Allir viðskiptalegir laugar hafa fulla búnaðarklefa þar með talið skápar, sturtur og hárblásarar. Náttúrulegar uppsprettur hafa engan búnað — skiptu um í bíl eða taktu með þér skiptikapu.
Öryggi
Farðu aldrei inn í uppsprettu sem lyktir sterkt af brennisteini nálægt eldvirkni. Haltu börnum frá ómerktum heitum pottum. Athugaðu alltaf staðbundnar aðstæður áður en þú gengur að fjarlægum pottar.
Fyrirbókun
Bláa lónið og Sky Lagoon eru aðeins tímaslotsaðgangur — þú getur ekki greitt við komu. Pantaðu að minnsta kosti 2–4 vikum fyri á sumrin. Náttúrulegir pottar þurfa enga pöntun.
Mikilvægt: Pantaðu alltaf Bláa lónið og Sky Lagoon fyriramm
Báðar laugar nota aðeins tímaslotspantanir — þú getur ekki greitt við komu. Bláa lónið er oft fullpantað 4–6 vikum fyriramm á sumrin. Pantaðu snemma til að forðast vonbrigði.

Hvaða laug er best á Íslandi?
Fyrir fyrstu heimsókn er Bláa lónið þekktust — en Sky Lagoon nálægt Reykjavík hefur jafn glæsilegt útsýni og nánara andrúmsloft. Fyrir lúxus utan höfuðborgarinnar eru Mývatn Nature Baths og Vök Baths í Austurlandi framúrskarandi.
Er aðgangur að náttúrulegum heitum potum ókeypis?
Flestir náttúrulegir heitir pottar eru ókeypis. Reykjadalur, Hellulaug, Hrunalaug og Landmannalaugar eru allir ókeypis eða gjafmiðlunarbundnir. Viðskiptalegir laugar eins og Bláa lónið og Sky Lagoon krefjast miða (€60–€165).
Má baða sig á Íslandi allt árið?
Já — allir viðskiptalegir laugar og flestir aðgengilegir heitir pottar eru opnir allt árið. Náttúrulegir heitir pottar eru sérstaklega töfrandi á veturna með snjó á jörðinni.
Hvað á ég að taka með mér í heitan pott?
Sundföt eru nauðsynleg. Viðskiptalegir laugar bjóða upp á handklæði (stundum gegn gjaldi). Fyrir náttúrulegir pottar, taktu þitt eigið handklæði, þurran poka og hlýjar lög. Sturta áður en þú ferð inn er skylda í viðskiptalegum laug.
Hvaða laug er næstur Reykjavík?
Sky Lagoon er aðeins 7 km frá miðborg Reykjavíkur og hægt er að komast þangað með strætó. Bláa lónið er 45 mínútur við Keflavíkurflugvöll. Fyrir náttúrulega heita potta nálægt höfuðborginni er Reykjadalur 45 mínútur með bíl frá Hveragerði.
Þarf ég að panta fyrirfram?
Bláa lónið og Hvammsvík selja upp vikum fyri á sumrin — pantaðu snemma. Sky Lagoon og Skógarlaug eru einnig ráðlagt að panta fyrirfram. Náttúrulegir heitir pottar þurfa enga pöntun — mættu bara.
