Írafoss Power Station is part of the Sog hydropower system. Two generating units entered service in 1953 and a third was added in 1963, bringing installed capacity to about 48 MW. It is operational infrastructure rather than a natural waterfall attraction, so visitors should remain in public areas and respect all access restrictions.
