Garðskagaviti is the 28-metre lighthouse built at Garðskagi in 1944 beside the smaller 1897 lighthouse.

The present Garðskagaviti was built in 1944 to replace the smaller lighthouse that had stood on Garðskagatá since 1897. The newer cylindrical concrete tower rises about 28 metres and was placed farther from the eroding shoreline. The older lighthouse was not demolished, so visitors can see both generations of lighthouse side by side. Garðskagi is an open coastal headland with broad sea views and is particularly well known for migratory birdlife, making the lighthouse area attractive for both maritime-history visitors and birdwatchers.
