Húsið is located in the centre of Eyrarbakki village. The building is a stunning example of Danish colonial architecture, with period furniture, exhibits on daily life in the 18th and 19th centuries, and displays on Iceland's fishing heritage. The museum is well-maintained and family-friendly, with English descriptions throughout. Guided tours are available in summer.
