"Skip stóð uppi í Vaðli. (10) Vil eg fylgja þér til skips á laun ef svo má um búa og taka þér fari í Vaðli. (10) Þau ríða Glámuheiði til Arnarfjarðar og svo hið efra út eftir fjöllum til Barðastrandar og koma um nótt í Vaðil. (13) Honum byrjar vel og kemur hann skipi sínu í Vaðil. (13) Nú fylgir Þorgeir Veglági vestur á Laugaból í Laugadal til Bersa og Þormóðar og skorar á þá að þeir veiti Veglági vist til fardaga „og flytjið hann til skips í Vaðil“ og kveðst Þorgeir þá mundu flytja hann í brott af Íslandi. (14) Það skip kom í Vaðil og fór Þorgeir til vistar á Reykjahóla. (18) Þormóður Kolbrúnarskáld undi löngum illa eftir líflát Þorgeirs og það sumar fór hann utan í Vaðli. (18) Þeir komu út í Vaðli á Barðaströnd og fóru heim í Garpsdal til bús síns."
