"Svo bar til um haustið að Óspakur kom norður í Víðidal, á Svölustaði. (4) Eftir þetta fer Óspakur á brott og kemur á Svölustaði og segir henn svo búið. (4) Nú gera þau ráð sitt og fastnar hún sig sjálf og fer hún með honum á Mel en þau eiga bú á Svölustöðum og fá menn til fyrir að vera. (4) Óspakur fer nú á Svölustaði til bús síns. (4) Hann fer nú leið sína þar til er hann kemur á Svölustaði og fékk þar góðar viðtökur. (4) Og er voraði og stefnudagar komu þá fer Oddur með tuttugu menn þar til er hann kom mjög að garði á Svölustöðum. (12) Sá maður fékk Svölu er Már hét og var Hildisson og réðst til bús á Svölustaði. (12) Og enn er fram líða stundir ber svo til að maður gengur inn á Svölustöðum og í hús það er Már hvílir í."
