(11) Nú ríður Vésteinn heiman og ber svo til að þá ríður hann undir melinn hjá Mosvöllum er þeir bræður ríða hið efra og farast þeir hjá á mis. (12) Og er þeir koma til Mosvalla þá sáu þeir mannareið í miðjum dal og var þá leiti í millum þeirra; ríða nú í Bjarnardal og koma til Arnkelsbrekku; þar springa báðir hestarnir."
