"Þeir komu að Gróstöðum út frá Garpsdal. (12) Eftir það riðu þeir frá Gróstöðum. (15) Þeir Ólafur og Þorgeir gengu á skip við nokkurum mönnum og reru yfir Gilsfjörð og lentu við Langeyri út frá Gróstöðum og héldu þaðan njósnum um ferðir Þóris. (15) Hann reið nú úr Garpsdal og kom á Gróstaði. (15) Þeir segja og mikið lið ríða frá Gróstöðum. (15) En lið það er Steinólfur hafði séð mart lið fara frá Gróstöðum, það voru naut Gró og breiddi hún klæði á hornin."
