"Flosi mælti: „Eg mun ríða upp úr Skaftártungu og fyrir norðan Eyjafjallajökul og ofan í Goðaland og mun þetta endast ef eg ríð hvatlega.“ (126) Létu þeir þá Eyjafjallajökul á vinstri hönd sér og svo ofan í Goðaland og svo til Markarfljóts og komu um nónskeið annan dag vikunnar á Þríhyrningshálsa og biðu til miðs aftans. (145) Flosi reið þá upp um Goðaland og svo á fjall og fyrir norðan Eyjafjallajökul og létti eigi fyrr en hann kom heim austur til Svínafells. (149) Síðan ríða þeir til Skaftártungu og svo fjall og fyrir norðan Eyjafjallajökul og ofan í Goðaland og svo ofan um skóga í Þórsmörk."
