Hraunsfjarðarvatn er á norðanverðu Snæfellsnesi. „Vatnið er um 200 km frá Reykjavík, um 15 km í suður frá bæði Grundarfirði og Stykkishólmi, á leið frá Vegamótum í norður. Nýja Vatnaleiðin á Snæfellsnesi gerir það að verkum að hægt er að aka nær alveg upp að vatninu á vegaslóða frá Baulárvallavatni, en síðasta spölinn þarf að fara fótgangandi (15 mín.) Slóði þessi er einungis fær fjórhjóladrifnum bílum. (...) Einungis urriði er í vatninu, sem gjarnan er vænn. Meðalþyngd fiska er 2-3 pund, en algengt er að þar veiðist stærri fiskar, 5-6 pund, einkum í ljósaskiptunum.“ (1) Skráðar athugasemdir: Bæta þarf merkingar, vegi og bílastæði. Engin salerni eru.
