"Á þeim bæ er í Múla heitir bjó Þórður Arndísarson. (8) Vali sagði að Bersi var kominn í Múla og hefir safnað að sér mönnum, „eru þeir fjölmennir.“ (8) Vali fór með þeim og komu í Múla. (9) Hún kom þann dag í Múla og svarar þessu máli fyrir Kormák og segir svo: „Bjóðið honum ekki falskonu því að þessi kona er fífl og engum duganda manni við sæmanda og hans móður mun eigi að getast hans forlögum svo illum.“ (12) Bersi ríður heiman og kemur í Múla."
