"Ljótur hét maður er bjó á Mánabergi í Ísafirði. (11) Hávarður svaraði: „Vér skulum taka skútuna og allt það er oss þykir slægur til og halda undir Mánaberg og finna Ljót kappann.“ (11) Þeir taka nú skútuna og marga gripi þá er þeir frændur höfðu átt og róa út eftir firði og framan að Mánabergi. (22) En víg þeirra skulu jöfn vera Brands hins sterka og Áns fóstra Hallgríms, gjalda ein manngjöld fyrir fylgdarmann Ljóts að Mánabergi er þeir Hávarður höfðu drepið."
