"Bersi fór byggðum á Laugaból í Laugadal því að Vermundur vildi eigi svo nær bæ sínum láta vera hráskinn þeirra Þorgeirs og Þormóðar. (13) Nú fylgir Þorgeir Veglági vestur á Laugaból í Laugadal til Bersa og Þormóðar og skorar á þá að þeir veiti Veglági vist til fardaga „og flytjið hann til skips í Vaðil“ og kveðst Þorgeir þá mundu flytja hann í brott af Íslandi."
