"Ljósvetninga saga (13) Brúni hét maður er bjó í Gnúpufelli. (20) Þeir bræður í Gnúpufelli voru bundnir í tengdum við Þorkel hák. (20) En móðir Þorkels háks var Guðríður er Þorgeir goði átti en eigi Hjalti Eiríksson og hennar móðir var dóttir Hrólfs Ingjaldssonar í Gnúpufelli. (20) Og var frændsemi með þeim Þorkatli og þeim bræðrum í Gnúpufelli. (20) Og er hann kom fram hjá þeim þá hljóp hann þegar aftur hjá hestinum og hleypti þeim niður úr hripunum en þeir hlupu þegar í skóginn og til Gnúpufells. (20) Síðan komu þeir í Gnúpufell og gengu að dyrum.Valla-Ljóts saga (1) Hann átti dóttur Ingjalds í Gnúpufelli. (1) Síðan fór hann í Gnúpufell til Ingjalds frænda síns og sagði honum tíðindin.Víga-Glúms saga (25) Með slíku móti voru eiðar unnir í Gnúpafelli og svo að Þverá."
