"Njáls saga (95) Móðir Flosa var Ingunn dóttir Þóris af Espihóli, Hámundarsonar heljarskinns, Hjörssonar, Hálfssonar konungs er réð fyrir Hálfsrekkum, Hjörleifssonar hins kvensama.Víga-Glúms saga (5) Hann bjó á Espihóli. (5) Þórarinn á Espihóli var maður vitur og vinsæll. (10) Börn þeirra voru Klaufi og Þorgerður er átti Þórarinn á Espihóli. (10) Þórdís var dóttir Kaðals er átti Þórir á Espihóli og þeirra börn voru þau sem sagt var fyrr. (11) Þorgrímur ríður til Espihóls hins syðra. (17) Þá er Þórir andaðist gerði Þórarinn bú fyrir norðan Espihól og bjó þar. (21) Þeir Arngrímur riðu til Espihóls og sögðu Þórarni þessi tíðindi og báðu hann ásjá og létust hvorki til hafa vitsmuni né vinsæld að sitja fyrir Glúmi. (22) Nú ríður Þorvarður til Espihóls og voru menn eigi upp risnir er þeir komu þar."
