"Hann keypti sér skip um veturinn er uppi stóð í Bulungarhöfn og bjó það að öllu. (6) Þorsteinn reið utan eftir Öxarfirði úr Bulungarhöfn og upp á Möðrudalsheiði og ofan til Vopnafjarðar og svo austur yfir Smjörvatnsheiði og svo yfir Jökulsá að brú og svo yfir Fljótsdalsheiði og austur yfir Lagarfljót og upp með fljótinu uns hann kom í Atlavík snemma morguns. (7) Hann færði alla vöru þeirra bræðra í Bulungarhöfn til skips og sagði Þorsteini tíðindin."
