Hamragarðar campsite is right at Seljalandsfoss. Skógar campsite is 30 km east, directly below Skógafoss waterfall.

Can I camp at Þórsmörk?

Yes — Þórsmörk has a campsite accessible by 4WD only. Buses also run from Reykjavík in summer. Book well in advance as it fills up fast.

Is there a campsite near Jökulsárlón?

The nearest campsite to Jökulsárlón is at Skaftafell National Park, about 60 km west. Several smaller sites are also closer to the lagoon.

Do South Iceland campsites need advance booking?

July and August are very busy. The most popular sites (Þórsmörk, Skógar, Vík) should be booked at least 2–4 weeks ahead.
