Since 1994 we have offered exciting glacier jeep and snowmobile adventure tours on Europe´s largest glacier, Vatnajökull.
First we drive on our Super Jeeps on road F985 towards the glacier and then we continue on our Skidoo snowmobiles where we have breathtaking views of Vatnajökull, Europe´s largest glacier.

Departure time : 09.30am and 14.00pm
Duration : 3 hours, including 1 hour on the glacier
Meeting point : Vagnsstaðir
Age limit : There is no age limit

- Warm outdoor clothing to wear under the snowsuit
- Waterproof clothing in rainy weather
- Daily departures from Vagnsstaðir hostel at 9.30am and 2pm from March to October
- Snowmobile drivers need to have a valid car driving license to drive the snowmobile (passengers do not need to have a license).
- Two people share the same snowmobile, it cost extra to have single snowmobile per.person per.snowmobile.
- Dress according to weather. We suggest wearing warm outdoor clothing and waterproof clothing on rainy days.
- We spend one hour on the glacier. Total duration is three hours.

For all bookings of day tours, a minimum of 24 hours' notice prior to your scheduled departure is required in order to receive a full refund. If a cancellation is made with less than 24 hours notice, no refund is given.
For all bookings of multi-day and custom private tours, a minimum of 72 hours' notice prior to your scheduled departure is required in order to receive a full refund. If a cancellation is made with less than 72 hours' notice, no refund is given*
*Note that in the event the client requests a refund for any reason, Tour Desk reserves the right to charge a 3% administration fee to cover costs incurred.
