Norðurbraut — 华姆斯唐吉附近的道路休息区

Norðurbraut is listed as a Vegagerðin roadside rest-area location in the 2026 North Iceland travel trade guide, in the 'Coast of Sagas and Mythology' area near Hvammstangi. The guide gives coordinates 65°21′9.4741″ N, 20°53′3.185″ W (approximately 65.352632, -20.884218). Treat this as a practical short stop on a Northwest Iceland road trip, not an attraction with confirmed opening hours, café, fuel or restroom facilities. Follow local signs and road conditions. The name also has local history: a former Norðurbraut roadside shop, among Iceland's early road shops, was moved from the road junction area for restoration in 2022. Do not assume the old shop building is still at the roadside stop.
