The Kvernufoss trail is a short walk into the gorge behind the Skógar area. The waterfall drops from the former sea cliffs, and a path can continue behind the cascade when conditions are safe. Spray, mud, ice and wet rock can make the route slippery, so visitors should follow current conditions and stay on established access.
