Hofsjökull

Hofsjökull occupies a central position in Iceland’s interior and feeds several major river systems. There is no simple roadside visit to the ice cap itself; most travellers experience it as a major landmark from highland routes and surrounding wilderness areas. Travel close to the glacier requires appropriate planning and conditions.
