Drangsnes Hot Pots are three simple geothermal tubs set directly beside the sea in the village of Drangsnes on the Strandir coast. Their appeal is the combination of warm water and open views across Steingrímsfjörður, with the shoreline only a few steps away. The tubs vary in temperature, allowing bathers to choose the most comfortable one. The setting is deliberately simple rather than resort-like: this is a small community bathing spot on the seafront, and visitors should treat it with the same respect they would a local public space. Bring a towel, keep the area tidy and follow any posted local guidance. Conditions can feel very different by season. Summer offers long daylight and broad fjord views, while darker months can provide a peaceful soak under clear skies.
