History & Background
Sky Lagoon opened in 2021 as a modern interpretation of Iceland's bathing culture. It was specifically designed around the concept of the traditional Icelandic seven-step ritual using geothermal water, cold plunge pools, sauna, steam room, and the unique 'mist experience'. The infinity edge pool was engineered to make the water appear to flow directly into the ocean, creating one of the most dramatic bathing landscapes in the world.
