About Nautabú
„Nautabú kemur fyrst fyrir í kaupbréfi frá 1391. Jörðin hefur verið með hæst metnu jörðum sveitarinnar allt fram á 19. öld og var á stundum í eigu ríkra og umsvifamikilla manna. Á 16. öld var hún t.a.m. um tíma í eigu Jóns biskups Arasona og á síðari hluta 17. aldar býr þar Jón Þorsteinsson lögréttumaður bróðir Einars biskups á Hólum. Þrátt fyrir tengslin við Hóla virðist Nautabú aldrei hafa orðið að stólsjörð, heldur haldist í bændaeign, en oft verið í leiguábúð.“
