Ólafsvík es un pequeño pueblo pesquero en la costa norte de Snæfellsnes con una distintiva iglesia moderna (Ólafsvíkurkirkja) y, a menudo, es el punto de partida para excursiones de avistamiento de ballenas en las aguas circundantes.
