About Lindarsandur
Lindarsandur er eins og nafnið gefur til kynna sandfjara og af þeim sökum talin hentug til sjósunds og sem brimbrettastaður (1). Sandurinn dregur nafn sitt af ferskvatnslind sem staðsett er í túninu fyrir ofan fjöruna. Í henni þraut aldrei vatn og áður var þar niðurgenginn hlaðinn brunnur þar sem búfénaður gat gengið til að brynna sér. Nú hefur þó sandurinn fyllt brunninn og mannleg ummerki eru horfin (2).
