Baulárvallavatn er staðsett inn af Dufgusdal, 193 metrum yfir sjávarmáli. „Vatnið er um 1,6 km2 að stærð og 47 metra djúpt, þar sem það er dýpst. (...) Þangað rennur Vatnaá og úr því rennur Baulá, sem síðar sameinast Straumfjarðará, sem er fræg fyrir góða laxveiði. Vatnið sjálft er gott veiðivatn, sem gefur bæði urriða og bleikju. Fiskur er af þokkalegri stærð af vatnafiski að vera.“ Baulárvallavatn er á Náttúruminjaskrá.
