„Grímseyjarviti er á suðurenda eyjarinnar og fallegt útsýni þaðan, mikið fuglalíf og hægt að ganga niður í fjöru og virða fyrir sér stuðlaberg sem er þarna nálægt“ (1). Vitinn var byggður árið 1937 og er 9,6 metrar á hæð en ljóshæð hans er 27 metra yfir sjávarmáli. Benedikt Jónasson hannaði vitann (2).
