Uxahryggjaleið dregur nafn sitt af grjótási er vegurinn liggur eftir og kallast Uxahryggir (1). Vestan við Uxavatn er hringsjá sem Ferðafélag Íslands lét reisa árið 1996 (2). Þaðan er gott útsýni yfir nærliggjandi svæði og fjallsýn til allra átta.
