About Þorragarður
Njarðvík er nyrsta vík Austfjarða. Samnefndur bær, staðsettur í dal sem kemur upp af henni, kemur víða við í fornsögum Austfirðinga. „Þar er fornt mannvirki, Þorragarður, hlaðinn torfgarður, talinn frá söguöld, einnig nokkrar dysjar. Garðurinn var í upphafi um 1,4 km að lengd en í dag standa eftir um 0,9 km af honum, allt að 1,5 m á hæð“ (1). Þorragarður er friðlýstur (2) en hans er getið er í Gunnars Sögu Þiðrandabana (3).
