Tæpum kílómeter fyrir sunnan Sauðakot á Ufsaströnd í Eyjafirði „er mjög áberandi jökulruðningsgarður eða malarás sem kallast Rípill eða Rípillinn. Þetta er merkilegt náttúrufyrirbrigði frá ísaldartímanum“ (1). Jarðminjarnar hafa verið á náttúruminjaskrá frá árinu 1984 en þar er talað um tvo rípla, Hólsrípil og Sauðakotsrípil (2).
