Lambhagavatn er staðsett í Rangárvallahreppi í Rangárvallasýslu. Lambhagavatn er á náttúruminjaskrá Suðurlands vegna votlendis með einstæðu gróðurfari og miklu og sérstæðu fuglalífi (1). Lambhagavatn er endurheimt vatn þar sem útfallsskurður úr vatninu var stíflaður árið 1998 til að hækka í því en vatninu hafði verið spillt verulega með framræslu (2). Vatnið er einn mikilvægasti staður Rangárvallarsýslu fyrir endur (3).
