Kisujökull er jökulfláki í Kerlingarfjöllum. „Kerlingarfjöll eru megineldstöð á gliðnunarbelti sem kennt er við Hofsjökul.“ Mikil eldvirkni var innan eldstöðvarinnar á jökul og hlýskeiðum síðustu Ísaldar. Þannig tróðust upp háreistir líparítgúlar sem sumir náðu upp úr ísbreiðunni og mynduðu stapa (1). Kerlingarfjallasvæðið allt er mikilvægt útivistarsvæði (2).
