About Hraun í Fljótum
Hraun er nyrsti bær í Skagafirði að austan og fornt höfuðból. Þar var útræði og löngum mikil útgerð til þorskveiða, en einkum þó hákarlaveiða. Tóttir verbúða og minjar frá útgerðinni sjást á Hraunamöl og í Hraunakrók, vík fyrir neðan bæinn sjálfan (1). Þaðan „er mikið og gott útsýni yfir Fljótin, falleg fjara og mikið fuglalíf“ (2). Fjaran er þekktur brimbrettastaður meðal áhugamanna (3).
