„Gömul rétt sunnan við Þverárrétt. Eftir að Þverárrétt var tekin í notkun fyrir fé var haldið áfram að rétta hesta í gömlu réttinni sem nú sjást rústir af. Þverárrétt hefur nú tekið við hlutverki þessarar réttar sem hestarétt í Vesturhópi og Vatnsnesi að hluta.“
