Leifur Eiríksson Air Terminal is the passenger terminal at Keflavík International Airport, Iceland's main international airport. The terminal opened in 1987 and replaced the older passenger facilities that had served the airport for decades. Growth in international travel has led to several major expansions. The South Building opened in 2001, partly to accommodate increased passenger numbers and the separation required for Schengen and non-Schengen traffic. Further additions have continued to reshape the terminal while the original building remains at the core of the airport complex.
