Djáknapollur er stórt, djúpgrænt vatn, nyrst svonefndra Kattatjarna (1). Fornar sögur herma að nafnið sé tilkomið frá því er djákna einum var drekkt í pollinum. Skammt frá er Hempumelur þar sem sagan segir að hempan hafi verið tekin af djáknanum (2).
