Reynisdrangar – Trolls Turned to Stone

Long ago, when the world was young and magic flowed as freely as the glacial meltwater, there lived a band of trolls on the southern shores of Iceland. These were no ordinary trolls; they were immense, their laughter like thunder, and their strength capable of moving mountains. One night, they decided to drag a ship ashore, intending to keep its treasures and its crew for themselves. They worked with great effort, their massive forms silhouetted against the moonlit waves, pulling with all their might.

However, as they neared the land, the first faint streaks of dawn began to paint the eastern sky. Trolls, as all know, are creatures of the night, and the rising sun is their undoing. The moment its first rays touched their stony hides, they were frozen in place, their struggle forever immortalized as the towering Reynisdrangar sea stacks, eternal sentinels against the unforgiving North Atlantic.
