History & Background
GeoSea opened in 2018 as part of Húsavík's development as a premier North Iceland destination. The facility takes advantage of a natural geothermal seawater spring that produces mineral-rich water at bathing temperature. The elevated cliff-side position means bathers often see humpback whales in the bay below while soaking in the warm saltwater pools.
