What to ExpectAfter departure, your pilot will guide the route based on weather and visibility, focusing on the most visually striking conditions of the day. You’ll fly over Vatnajökull’s outlet glaciers and surrounding valleys, where ice flows down toward lower elevations.
The flight continues over smaller glacier lagoons forming at the glacier edges, where meltwater collects, and ice can break away into glacier lagoons.
Along the route, you’ll also pass through areas of colorful mountain terrain, where mineral-rich formations and volcanic geology create distinct contrasts in the landscape.
