Hvítisandur, oftast þekktur undir nafninu Holtsfjara, er í Önundarfirði við kirkjustaðinn Holt. Hvít sandfjara liggur meðfram ströndinni og rif teygir sig út á fjörðinn. Fjaran er mjög vinsæl til hverskyns útivistar en þar er einnig gömul bryggja (1). Þá hefur sandkastalakeppni hefur verið árviss viðburður í Holtsfjöru um verslunarmannahelgina síðan 1994 (2). Taka þarf tillit til fuglalífs á svæðinu, en hluti fjörunnar er lokaður vegna æðavarps á vorin (1).
