Þrjár merktar gönguleiðir eru á suðurhluta Hríseyjar og er ein þeirra kölluð Græna gönguleiðin og er 2,3 km. Margt er að sjá á leiðinni og má þar t.d. nefna vel varðveitta kolagröf. Eina af mörgum á eyjunni. Á upplýsingaskilti er greint frá ýmsum fróðleik er tengist kolaframleiðslu sem fram fór á eynni til forna. Einnig er farið er hjá fornum svarðargröfum (mógröfum) og á skiltum er fuglalífi í Hrísey gerð góð skil. Nær 40 fuglategundir verpa að staðaldri í eynni, eingöngu fá pör af sumum þeirra en þúsundir af öðrum.
