Grafarholt golfvöllur er 18 hola meistarabraut á austurjaðri Reykjavíkur með stórkostlegt útsýni yfir Esju, borgina og Faxaflóa. Vindurinn gefur brautinni sérstakan karakter.
Grafarholt was built on lava-sculpted heathland that early members had to clear by hand before the first holes could be laid out. The reward was elevation — and with it, some of the most dramatic views from any fairway in Iceland. Locals joke that the wind at Grafarholt adds at least three extra clubs to every approach shot, making it a genuine test even for low handicappers.
Panoramic 360° views from elevated fairways — Esja, the Atlantic, and Reykjavík skyline all visible from the course
On very clear days you can see Snæfellsjökull glacier — over 100 km away — from the higher tees at Grafarholt.
Popular with locals — book ahead on weekends. The course is well maintained year-round when weather permits and is accessible by public transport.
