Experience two sides of Iceland in one unforgettable day: an exciting ATV adventure through the geothermal landscapes of Hengill followed by the country's most famous sightseeing route, the Golden Circle.
Your day begins with a convenient pick-up in Reykjavík and a short transfer to Litla Kaffistofan, located on the edge of the Hengill volcanic area. After meeting your guide and receiving a safety briefing, you'll gear up for a thrilling 90-minute ATV ride across black sand tracks, lava fields, and rugged volcanic terrain shaped by centuries of geothermal activity.
As you explore the Hengill region, you'll enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and make several stops at fascinating geothermal and environmental landmarks. Highlights include the Svínahraun lava field, the Hellisheiði Power Plant, the Hveradalir geothermal area, where you'll taste traditional Icelandic hot spring-baked bread, and a scenic viewpoint overlooking the dramatic Hengill landscape.
Following your ATV adventure, you'll return to Reykjavík and transfer to the Golden Circle tour. This classic route showcases three of Iceland's most iconic natural attractions. Visit Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. Continue to the Geysir geothermal area, home to the famous Strokkur geyser, which erupts every few minutes. The final highlight is the magnificent Gullfoss waterfall, where powerful glacial waters plunge into a dramatic canyon.
