Your dedicated guide will take you through the UNESCO heritage landscape of Þingvellir National Park, across to the steaming plain of the Geysir Geothermal Area, and on to Gullfoss, where the glacial Hvítá river drops in two powerful tiers into a deep canyon. The Golden Circle covers an extraordinary stretch of Iceland's character in a single day - and doing it privately means the itinerary bends around your group, not the other way around.
The element that sets this tour apart, however, is what follows. From near Gullfoss, the route leads up onto the surface of Langjökull, Iceland's second-largest glacier, for a guided snowmobile ride across the ice. No prior experience is required - the glacier operator provides full snowsuits, helmets, and all safety equipment on-site - and crossing open glacier with nothing but white ice and sky in every direction is a different kind of experience altogether.

The highlight of the tour is a 1-hour snowmobiling adventure on a glacier. Please note that a valid driver’s license is required to operate the snowmobile, and tickets and equipment are not included but we will help you book it. - Sturdy, waterproof hiking shoes or boots - paths at Þingvellir and Gullfoss can be wet, muddy, or icy.
- Warm hat, gloves, and a scarf.
- Sunglasses - useful year-round, essential in summer and on bright winter days.
- A snowsuit, helmet, and outer gloves are provided by the glacier operator and worn over your own clothing.
- Wear a warm thermal base layer and mid-layer underneath - temperatures on the glacier are considerably colder than at lower altitudes.
- Sturdy footwear with ankle support is recommended under the provided snowsuit.
- You will receive a booking confirmation immediately after purchase.

- Groups of 1-3 travel in a private sedan; groups of 4-8 travel in a private minivan.
- This tour involves easy walking on uneven natural terrain. It is not recommended for guests with serious mobility limitations.
- The tour is not wheelchair accessible.
- Minimum age to participate as a passenger on the snowmobile: 6 years old.
- Minimum age to drive a snowmobile independently: 17 years old.
- Parents or guardians are responsible for the safety of children throughout the tour.
- Food and drinks are not included. Cafés and snack options are available at stops along the route.
- The snowmobile activity is operated by a specialist external partner on Langjökull glacier.
- Snowsuits, helmets, and outer gloves are provided on-site by the glacier operator at no extra charge.
- Minimum age to drive: 17 years old. Minimum age as passenger: 6 years old.
- Only one child is allowed per adult on this tour.
- Maximum weight per person: 120 kg.
- Pregnant participants are not permitted to take part in the snowmobile ride.
- Advance booking of the snowmobile ride is strongly recommended, especially in peak season (please contact our team immediately).
