Snæfellsjökull is an active volcanic and is considered the main volcano of the area. This area is steeped in folklore, with tales of mythical creatures like elves and trolls said to inhabit the region. • Arnarstapi: Popular attraction as it has an eroded circular stone arch and a beautiful trail through the lava field.
