Með sjónum, neðan við Landeyjar er breið sandfjara er nefnist einu nafni Landeyjasandur. Talað er um Eyjasand fyrir Vestur-Landeyjum og Krosssand fyrir Austur-Landeyjum. Djúpur áll er úti fyrir Eyjasandi (1). Sandurinn er hvað þykkastur við Eyjasand en talið er að hann nái um 260 m niður fyrir sjávarmál þar sem mest er. Víða er hann þó um 60-70 m þykkur (2). Gott aðgengi er að fjörunni og frá henni gott útsýni út á haf og til Vestmannaeyja (3).
