Hvaleyrarvatn and Höfðaskógur are a well-developed outdoor recreation area located in Hafnarfjörður, within Iceland’s Capital Region. The lake is relatively small but highly accessible, with a well-maintained walking path that loops around it, offering scenic views of the water and surrounding terrain. Adjacent to the lake is Höfðaskógur, a forest area composed of various tree species planted over several decades.
