Our Mega Zipline Experience in Hveragerði
We tried two different ways to experience the zipline in Hveragerði — a fast Superman-style flight and a calmer seated ride — giving us two very different perspectives on the same adventure.
Resumen rápido
A fun, well-run adventure with two very different ways to ride. The Superman-style option delivers the speed and flying sensation, while the seated option is calmer and better for taking in the scenery.

Our Zipline Experience in Hveragerði
We arrived in Hveragerði on a beautiful day, around half an hour before our scheduled departure. The staff were friendly, upbeat and welcoming from the moment we arrived.
Then it was time to gear up — and this is where our experience split in two. Hekla chose the calmer seated ride, while I went for the faster Superman-style option, flying face-down in a harness designed to support me horizontally.
Getting Ready
We were given different equipment for the two rides. I received a helmet and the special harness for the prone flying position, while Hekla had a seated harness that kept her upright. Before departure, the guides went through the safety procedures and explained the equipment and what to expect.
